Capturing unique glimpses of everyday life – before it’s gone forever!

Welcome to my website featuring a diverse range of images that I have captured from Devon and Dartmoor in southwest England and the rest of the UK, as well as elsewhere globally over the course of a 40+ year career in international oil and gas exploration.

This website will be an ongoing work in progress, and will be subject to periodic changes in layout design.

If there are any images of topics that you would like to see more of, please contact me as the images on this website are only a small selection of the material in my photographic archives.

Selected images are now available as greetings cards, I intend to add more designs on a regular basis.

Nearly all of the images on this website are available as standard prints on Fine Art paper at approximately A4, A3 and A2 sizes, as well as at A1 and A0 or on acrylic, aluminium sheet or stretched canvas frames by special order.

As of 2024 I am digitally transforming selected images from Kodachrome slides and B&W film negatives, representing some 40 years of photography at home in the UK and from my travels, including to some of the remoter places around the world such as North Korea and West Siberia.

Please click on the heart icon displayed with each image in the Photo Galleries if you like a particular image for whatever reason, as it will help me to know which images are most popular with viewers, and please comment if you particularly like or dislike any image – I would love to receive your feedback.

Please note that all of the images on this website are displayed as .jpg format files at a low resolution of 72 dpi and maximum dimension of 1170 pixels in order to restrict the image size to enable a fast download speed, but that all images when printed are done so from the full resolution .tif format files at 300 dpi resolution.

A young North Korean commuter on the Pyongyang Metro station platform stares wistfully at the camera, looking at a foreigner like an alien - two people so close together and yet so far apart. #DPRK #Pyongyang #NorthKorea #Metro #Commuter
